Sorry I haven’t posted anything in so long. Freshman year has been keeping me very busy. And, I’m doing the STAR program with Community Youth Development. But, I’ve still been making pillows for Center For Building Hope. And, I just completed my design of my good thoughts bracelets for little girls suffering from cancer. Just a little something to remind them to stay happy.
I’ve also been working with Anna to learn how to make a baby quilt from beginning to end. Once I’m good enough, I’ll be making quilts for babies in the NICU.
Here are my new bracelets.
I just finished sewing more doll pillows for Center for Building Hope’s overnight Healing Hearts Camp that’s coming up in March. This is a special day for boys and girls impacted by cancer to forget their worries and have a good time. My pillows will be one of the gifts they receive at the event. (I’m also working on a new design for a bracelet. More on that later.)
In addition to the girl butterfly pillows I made, which I call “Bringing Blessings Butterfly,” I also designed a boy pillow called “Captain Conquer Cancer” for the boys who come to the event. I hope the kids will enjoy the pillows as much as I did making them.
