I Was Asked To Design The Global Youth Service Day Logo

I am so excited! Suriya Khong, the Director of Community Youth Development (CYD), contacted me to see if I would be interested in designing the logo for this year’s Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) the weekend of April 11-13. Would I ever! I began work immediately to create the two logos at the bottom of this post. Here’s a bit more information.

Celebrated in over 100 countries, GYSD is the largest service event in the world and the only day of service dedicated to children and youth. Area school clubs, youth groups, and passionate young people will be invited to create a service project around this year’s theme, which is “A World Without Hate.”  One of my logos will be selected by the CYD board to go on all GYSD promotional materials and t-shirts. I can’t wait to see which one they choose. I am so happy they thought of me and honored to have this privilege.

UPDATE: March 10, 2014 – I just heard from CYD. They chose the No Hate logo. Looking forward to seeing it on t-shirts and other promotions – very cool!
